Utility Billing FAQsWelcome to City of Schertz Utilities
The City of Schertz Utility Billing Department is responsible for billing and collection of water, sewer, solid waste, and recycling receivables. Our mission is to provide professional customer service at all times. We strive to provide accurate and timely services to our residents of Schertz for billing questions, concerns, connections, disconnections, and transfers.
View your monthly, daily, or hourly water consumption, and set up alerts when usage has reached a certain level by logging into your utility billing account. If you are having trouble signing on, please contact Utility Billing at (210) 619-1100.
Water Conservation
The City receives its water from the Carrizo Aquifer and unlike other cities in the area that rely on the Edwards Aquifer, Schertz customers have high-quality water with limited use restrictions. Schertz encourages good stewardship of our water resource and promotes a year-round water conservation plan. View more about the City's Water Conservation Plan.
Optional Residential Irrigation Meter Application
If you are interested in watering through the winter months without it affecting your sewer rate, fill out an application for an irrigation meter today! This is a completely optional service offered to residents. Installation by a licensed plumber is required and staff recommends speaking with them about pricing if you are interested.
If you have any questions, Schertz Utility Billing will walk you through the entire process, from interpretation to installation.
