All applicants must meet the physical requirements in the City of Schertz Job Description for the position for which they are applying.
Police Officer applicants must successfully complete the Schertz Police Department physical agility test. The agility test consists of push-ups, sit-ups, a mile run, an obstacle course, and drag an approximate 165-pound dummy.

Obstacle Course
- The applicant will start by sitting in a patrol car. The applicant will exit the vehicle and sprint towards two walls. The applicant will climb both walls, crawl through a tunnel, go through a simulated window while giving verbal commands to a "suspect". The applicant will then handcuff the suspect.
- The walls are approximately 4'3" high.
- This is a timed event and must be completed in 1 minute and 30 seconds.
