The City of Schertz has implemented Stage 3 water restrictions due to water shortage conditions following a major water transmission line break. The break required the Schertz Seguin Local Government Corporation (SSLGC) to take one of its water treatment plants offline while repairs are underway.
The alternative water source is not providing the same level of supply needed to meet the community’s regular water needs, making water conservation an important part of managing demand during repairs.
SSLGC and the City of Schertz are working diligently to make the necessary repairs and address the water supply challenges. We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation as this work continues.

Rain Is in the Forecast
Rain is expected in our area this week, so additional landscape watering may not be necessary. Please take advantage of the expected rainfall and avoid watering your lawn when conditions are already providing the moisture it needs. Every effort to conserve water helps while SSLGC and the City work to address the current water supply challenges.
