Swimming pools and spas open to the public, including HOA, hotel/motel, apartment complex pools, schools, and gyms, are required to hold a valid pool permit. For renewals and changes of ownership, submit a copy of the Swimming Pool Permit application. Pool permits cycle annually October 1- September 30.
New construction swimming pools requiring a permit must apply for a pool permit upon approval. Email healthinspector@schertz.com for an appointment.
Permitted swimming pools are inspected on a random basis and in response to complaints. Refer to the State DSHS standards for public swimming pools and spas .
