Yes! And it’s free in all our rental facilities.

Alcohol is allowed at events, but we are not a BYOB facility. Our facility allows renters to provide their own alcohol, but it must be served by a TABC certified bartender. Security is also required at events where alcohol is served and must be present from the beginning of the bar opening until the very last patron. Security is coordinated through the Civic Center Event Coordinator and the Schertz Security Coordinator

The renter is responsible for removing all decorations (i.e. balloons, and other miscellaneous décor), tablecloths, and all personal items. If the kitchen is used, the renter is responsible for cleaning the kitchen and leaving it in the same condition as it was found. The renter is also responsible for ensuring the caterer has left the kitchen clean as described.

All caterers and decorators are required to provide a $1,000,000.00 liability insurance policy listing the City of Schertz as a certificate holder. Any patron preparing food in the kitchen may be required to provide an insurance policy, this will be at the discretion of the Civic Center Manager.
