  1. (Cancelled) National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Family & Friends Mental Health Workshop

    **Due to low registration, NAMI is not able to offer this program on Sat. Dec. 9, another Family & Friends seminar has been scheduled for Sat. Feb 10th at the library.** Join us Saturday, December 9 from 1:00-5:00 PM in Meeting Room 1 for a free 4 hour seminar that informs and supports people who have loved ones with a mental health condition. This seminar is also open to the public to learn more about mental health. Participants will leave with a booklet, which includes all the seminar leader’s information presented that day. Participants learn about diagnoses, treatment, recovery, communication strategies, crisis preparation and other NAMI resources. Seminar leaders have personal experience with mental health conditions in their own families.

    Did you know board games teach critical thinking, strategic skills, offer social opportunities for participants, keep minds sharp and are just plain fun? Join us on the 2nd Saturday of the month from 11:00 AM- 12:30 AM. Learn a new game or play an old favorite. Our goal is to connect families, teach social skills, learn problem solving skills, and to have fun. A parent or guardian is required to participate with child(ren).
