We have weekly take & make craft kits available for pick-up from the library for kids ages 5-12. Miss Michelle is sharing songs, stories, flannels, and finger-plays with you each week on YouTube. Recorded Storytime is available for Baby & Me (birth-24 months), Toddler (20 months-3 years), and Preschool (3 years-6 years). Each year the Schertz Police Department hosts a Junior Academy to give young children a behind the scenes look at how the Police Department operates. The attending students will learn about the "tools" of the police belt, fingerprinting and basic forensics and many other police related topics. The camp is a great way to meet new people, team build and get a first-hand look into law enforcement and emergency services. The camp is open to boys and girls that reside in the City of Schertz, and are from the ages of 8 to 11, with one class for ages 8 to 9, and one ages 10 to 11. The camp runs from 8 a.m. to Noon during the scheduled week.

Stryker Tactical Laser Tag is back to celebrate Parks and Recreation Month! Stryker Tactical Laser Tag has raised the bar in the laser tag industry and is bringing out the latest technology to Pickrell Park for a live gaming experience. This experience incorporates realistic weaponry and involves combat simulations, role-play style games, and various precise and competitive goals. Join us at Pickrell Park every Tuesday night in July from 8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Tactical Laser Tag is open to all who can properly use the equipment. Participants will meet at the Poplar Pavilion. Registration is $12 per person and is available on Schertz.com through CivicRec.
