    ASHI's CPR and AED training course is designed specifically for layperson and is an excellent choice for CPR and defibrillator training in both community and workplace settings. This extremely flexible program will help prepare individuals to respond to sudden cardiac arrest and choking incidents for adults, children, and infants and conforms to the 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines. This course is designed for individuals who are not healthcare providers or professional rescuers but desire, or are required, to be certified in CPR and the use of an AED such as emergency response teams in business and industry, adult residential care personnel, teachers, parents, and babysitters. The ASHI CPR and AED course certifies each passing participant for 2 years.

    The ASHI Basic First Aid course helps students develop first aid knowledge, skills, and the confidence to respond. This course is intended for individuals who are not healthcare providers or professional rescuers but desire, or are required, to be certified in basic emergency medical care. This first aid training program is an excellent chosie for both the community and workplace setting and conforms to the 2015 American Heart Association and American Red Cross guidelines for First Aid. The ASHI Basic First Aid course certifies each passing participant for 2 years.

    The CPR/AED course is held from 9:00 AM -12:00 PM. The First Aid course is from 1:00 PM-4:00 PM. All courses are held in the Schertz EMS Training Room in Building 7.
