At the August 11 Schertz City Council Meeting, Council voted on and approved the preliminary maximum tax rate for the FY 2020-21 budget. The approved maximum tax rate was set at $0.5146. The final adopted tax rate may be lower than this rate, but it cannot exceed the $0.5146.
The city invites residents to join us for the two public hearings and votes on the FY 2020-21 Budget and Tax Rate coming up in the next couple of weeks.

Tuesday, Sept. 1 - Second Public Hearing on Budget and Tax Rate, First Vote (Council Chambers, 6:00 p.m.)
Tuesday, Sept. 8 - Second Vote and Adoption (Council Chambers, 6:00 p.m.)
Thursday, Oct. 1 - New Budget in Effect
