Elbel Road
Schertz Public Works will be conducting road work at the intersection of Elbel Rd. & Westchester on Saturday, September 12 from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Elbel Rd will be closed from Westchester to Schertz Parkway. Traffic on Elbel will be detoured from Westchester to Curtiss to Schertz Parkway. Traffic on Schertz Parkway will be detoured to FM 78 and Live Oak Rd. I-35
- Beginning on Wednesday, September 9, until Thursday, September 10, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., there will be double lane closures on I-35 Northbound from FM 1103 (Exit 178) to Schwab Road (Exit 182). TxDOT will be removing barriers, and the traffic will transition from three lanes to one lane of traffic.
- On Thursday, September 10, until Friday, September 11, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m, TxDOT will do the same double lane closure on the Southbound side of IH 35.
Cibolo Valley Drive
- Cibolo Valley Drive will be closed between Ripps-Kreusler and Old Wiederstein Road this Saturday and Sunday (September 12th and 13th). The closure is to allow for the installation of storm drain culverts underneath the roadway. Detour signage will direct motorists around the project area via I-35, FM 1103, and Old Wiederstein Road as shown on the map. The contractor will provide access to Old Wiederstein Road for Lantana residents to get in and out of their subdivision. Cibolo Valley Drive will re-open to traffic after the work is completed on Sunday. The culvert installation will proceed, even if there is some rain, however, if the forecast changes and severe rain is expected, the culvert installation may be delayed. Another notice will be posted if the work will be delayed. Thank you for your patience and understanding as the storm drain culverts are completed.
Schertz Pkwy
- Alternating Lane Closures will continue Tuesday, September 15 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Schertz Pkwy, Eastbound and Westbound Lanes, between Woodland Oaks Dr. and Ashley Park Dr. Broadband Telecom Services will be conducting some work on the right of way.
