[ARCHIVED] Fireworks Prohibited Within City Limits

Happy Independence Day, a time to celebrate with family and friends! No matter how great the party is, it is never the time to violate Schertz’ fireworks ordinance 30.64 which prohibits the sale, use, or possession of fireworks in the City. Fireworks can be sold and used outside Schertz city limits. For more information, call the Fire Department at (210) 619-1300.

Although the City of Schertz is not hosting the traditional Jubilee celebration, we invite you to celebrate in your home and watch the show from the comfort of your driveway or backyard. Firework will be launched at Hilltop Park (undeveloped park property near Northcliffe), Schertz Soccer Complex, and Rhine Valley Park, so no matter where you reside, you will be able to enjoy the show! Test shots will be fired at 8:15 p.m. and 8:16 p.m. to help you find the best viewing location from your home. Fireworks will begin at 9:15 p.m. and will last approximately 10 minutes. Fireworks will also be live-streamed via Facebook Live.
