[ARCHIVED] City facilities re-open to the public

Office-Reopenings

On June 1 all City buildings reopened to the public with the exception of the Schertz Public Library, and the Schertz Area Senior Center. These facilities will remain closed until further notice. While most City facilities have reopened, residents are still able to conduct city business online, by email, or by phone. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we work through these unprecedented times.

On June 8, park playgrounds, Pickrell Park Pool, and the Schertz Aquatics Center will reopen to the public. Pools will have a 25% occupancy limit in accordance with the Governor’s orders. Due to staffing limitations and capacity limits, Wendy Swan Memorial Park Pool will not open at this time. Park pavilions will remain closed until additional activities are approved to resume in accordance with the Governor’s Orders.City programs with small groups and in outdoor spaces will resume operations in June. Larger special events will be modified and celebrated in a different way for now.

The Schertz Public Library is open for curbside pickup Monday - Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Items can be reserved for pickup at catalog.schertzlibrary.org

The Municipal Court is allowing defendants to dispose eligible cases by mail/email and fax. Contact the court office at (210) 619-1500 to determine if your case is eligible.
