Curbside Hold Pick-Up

Image of person in car on cell phone, with caption stating Curbside Pick-Up Coming Soon

At this time, the Schertz Public Library will remain closed to the public. However, we will begin offering Curbside Hold Pick-Up starting Monday, May 4th. Times for pick-up will be Monday-Friday, from 11 AM-6 PM. To place a hold, you must already have a Full Access Library Card with us.

How this will work:

  1. Place a hold online at catalog.schertzlibrary.org or by phone (210) 619-1700
    • For a quick how-to on placing a hold, watch this video
    • For a more thorough overview on searching for an item to place on hold, watch this video
  2. You’ll receive a phone call when items are ready for pick-up. It is important to note that items that were formally out of the building, will need to be placed in a quarantine status for 3 full days, which means your hold wait time could be longer than usual.
  3. When you have been notified that the items are in fact ready for you, pull up to the library entrance (Tuesday-Saturday, from 11 AM-6 PM), and call us at 210-619-1700. Have your library card number ready!
  4. We’ll run the items out and place them on a table.
  5. Once staff is back in the building, retrieve your items from the table.
  6. Have items to return? Please use drive-through drop for item returns.

While we would never willingly circulate an item that we believe to be contaminated, you can take additional steps to safeguard yourself and the ones you live with by following these procedures outlined by New Braunfels Public Library.
