East Live Oak Water Pump Additions

The City of Schertz is constructing a redundant pump system at the East Live Oak tank site in order to prolong the life of the existing pumps and to provide back-up pumps when maintenance is required. This project will reduce the possibility of interrupted water service to citizens caused by pump and motor failures. The project was designed by Ford Engineering and is being constructed by R.P. Constructors, Inc.

Construction Start: April 2020
Construction Completion: Winter 2020
Cost of Construction: $1,560,000
Funding Source: Water and Sewer Reserves

UPDATE -  August 2020

  • The concrete slabs for the generator and electrical canopy have been poured.
  • Work on the electrical canopy structure has begun.
  • Electrical conduit installation continues at the pump pad.
  • Steel pipe installation has begun.
