TOGETHER WE MAKE THE COMMUNITY BETTER
City of Schertz Code Officers make sure city codes and ordinances are met so Schertz continues to be a livable city. We do this by educating, collaborating and partnering with neighborhoods, local businesses, non-profits, and other City of Schertz Departments.
Environmental Health maintains the balance between code compliance and code enforcement by implementing programs to ensure a minimum standard is met.
Code Officers identify dangerous and substandard conditions in each of the districts they are assigned.
City codes and ordinances have been created to protect the health, safety, and quality of life for the citizens of Schertz. If there is a problem property in your neighborhood, call 311.
DEED RESTRICTIONS
Code Officers do not enforce deed restrictions or covenants. These are civil processes and not enforceable by the City unless they are violations of our City ordinance.
