The Texas Food Establishment Rules (TFER) requires food establishments to employ one (1) Certified Food Manager. The original valid certificate must be posted on site.
All food employees must complete an ANSI accredited food handler training within 30 days of employment. Each employee certificate MUST be on file at the establishment for review at time of inspection. Incomplete training records or expired certificates will be a violation of the requirement and maybe subject to a fine.
