Schertz EMS hires based on the needs of the organization.  Positions include EMT, Paramedic, Administrative and Billing staff.  Schertz EMS currently operates 6 Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) ambulances 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 1 peak-hour MICU ambulance. We employ 57 full-time EMTs and paramedics, and 20 part-time EMTs and paramedics who respond to over 13,000 requests for emergency services and ~900 interfacility transfers annually across our coverage area of over 230 square miles.

Requirements

  • Be able to work 12/24 Hour shifts
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Legal right to work in the United States
  • Licensed/Certified Texas EMT/Paramedic
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Service Oriented
  • Strong Work Ethic
  • Valid Driver License
