Health Permit Application

Health permits are required for all establishments offering either food or drink for sale or free of charge.  Permit fees vary by establishment type.  Permits are nontransferable and must be posted and visible to the public in every food establishment.  Contact the Health Inspector's office to determine the application form and fees applicable to the situation.

FOOD HANDLER CLASS SCHEDULE: 2010 Classes ~

  • August 19th
  • September 16th
  • October 14th

INSTRUCTIONS - Please read the following carefully:

• All classes are scheduled from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm and will be located
  at the Schertz Civic Center at 1400 Schertz Parkway, Bldg 5. Please
  arrive thirty (30) minutes early to sign in.

• Anyone interested in attending must pre-register and pay all fees
  within one-week prior to the intended class. No registrations will be
  accepted twenty-four hours prior to a schedules class.

• Payments can be made at the Inspection Department located within
  the Municipal Offices at 1400 Schertz Parkway, Schertz TX. 78154.
  Class fees are $30.00.

• Cancellations must be received no later than forty-eight hours prior to
  a schedule class.

• A photo ID will be required for entrance to a class.

• Note: Class Schedules are subject to change at anytime. Proper notification
  and refunds will be given in these circumstances.

• There are no refunds if you cancel. However, you will be able to reschedule for
  another class.

• Please check with your employer if you work outside the city limits of Schertz.
