Schertz to Host South Texas' Largest EMS Week Activities

Each year the City of Schertz celebrates National EMS Week during the month of May when we publicize and educate the public about injury and illness prevention, healthy living and safety practices. In addition we honor and appreciate all of the providers who selflessly give of their time and talents to serve the residents, businesses, and visitors in the region we serve.
This year EMS Week is slated for May 17th through May 24th.
As part of the activities, we will be holding our first annual Schertz EMS 2009 EMS Week Golf Tournament on May 17th at Olympia Hills Club. Proceeds go to EMS Week activities and community outreach programs. Additional proceeds will go to the Bobbie Dilworth Scholarship Fund. Cost is $200-for a team of 4 or $50 per person and we can add them to a team.
The week culminates with the EMS Extravaganza that is scheduled for May 23rd at the Forum Shopping Center from 10am-4pm (In front of Borders Books). The Extravaganza includes area hospitals, local clubs and charities, as well as the Lions Club eye screening, South Texas Blood and Tissue Bus, AirLife, STRAC, local Fire Departments, police departments, and a bunch more.....And, the best news is it's all FREE.
