The City Secretary's Office is
responsible for the preservation of city records, including
but not limited to: minutes, ordinances, resolutions, agendas
and other legal city documents. The preservation of these
records is in compliance with the Texas State Library and
Archives Commission Records Retention Schedule. In addition
to keeping city records the City Secretary's office prepares
the City Council agenda and keeps record of and takes minutes
of the council meetings. The Schertz City Council approved a new fee schedule as part of its FY 2009-2010 budget. The new fees will go into effect on Oct. 1, 2009.
