Trash Pick-Up Information

Please note that trash will not be picked up on the following holidays:

• July 4th
• Thanksgiving
• Christmas Day
• New Year’s Day

The City of Schertz will be dropping the recycling rebate from its water and wastewater treatment billing starting in October. The money will be used instead to meet the costs of hazardous waste disposal during the spring and fall Clean Up programs.

The 42-cent rebate was an averaged payment to residents and came from the sales of recyclable materials collected by the City. However, the Schertz City Council decided to redirect the rebate to meet the increasing expenses involved in administering the bi-annual Clean Up projects.

The City of Schertz will continue its regular curbside pickup of recyclable materials and encourages citizens to participate in this program.
