Pedestrian Routes and Bike Lanes

The City of Schertz is finalizing design of a collection of projects that are intended to enhance pedestrian and cyclist mobility and safety in the City. The project consists of construction of an off-road trail between Schertz Parkway and Wiederstein Road along the LCRA utility easement; construction of sidewalks on both sides of Live Oak Road between Schertz Parkway and FM 3009; and the striping of compliant bike lanes along both sides of Savannah Drive from the Selma city limits to FM 3009, and Woodland Oaks Drive between Schertz Parkway and FM 3009. The project is expected to be let for construction in the summer of 2020. The Alamo Area Metropolitan Organization is participating in the funding of construction with an 80/20 matching reimbursement.
