Inspection Request Process

Inspection requests for work done on permitted projects must be requested through the online “Request an Inspection” system and can be paid by phone at 210-619-1750.

Inspections shall be requested and received by the department no later than 6:00 am.  Any Inspection received after 6:00 am will be performed the next business day. Emergency inspections will be given priority at the determination of the Chief Building Official.  

The following information is required in order to schedule an inspection: 

  1. Building permit number
  2. Type of inspection
  3. Physical address of property to be inspected and subdivision name
  4. Builders name and contact information

The following are inspections required by the City of Schertz. The number and order of inspections may vary based on the extent and type of project.

If re-inspections have been called for and the second inspection revealed the original turn down items have not been corrected in part or whole, a seventy-two (72) hour notice of inspection shall be required before another re-inspection will be conducted.
